Research Summary

Dr. Muzic has conducted cancer, cardiac, and diabetes research as principle investigator, co-investigator, and collaborator on grants both at Case and elsewhere. Dr. Muzic publishes in peer reviewed journals, teaches medical physics to Radiology residents, teaches graduate and undergraduate students in Biomedical Engineering and is primary research advisor for Biomedical Engineering graduate students. His research work includes quantitative analysis of biomedical imaging data, physiologic modeling, optimal experiment design, assessment of new radiopharmaceuticals, imaging response to therapy, and in vivo quantification of receptor concentration. His work also includes creation and dissemination of COMKAT software ( for quantitative analysis of biomedical image data, and is used to support research and teaching.
